How have cell phones negatively impacted your lives?

I bitched at mine other day while she was taking pics of her and kids while out to eat and trying to post to FB. I mean damn, put the freaking phone down. I DO NOT allow my kids to play with that shite in public and on limited basis at home. Yes, I enjoy being a shitty father. An 8 y/o in public with a phone in their face the whole time is tacky as shite.

What bothers me isn’t the amount she uses it, it’s how she uses it. 90%+ of her time on it is texting and facebooking. She could pickup the phone and have a conversation with who she’s texting with and be done with it in under 5 minutes, instead she has a never ending conversation where she has to carefully choose each word. Seeing her with her head in her phone vigorously typing out texts is maddening.
