Has anyone done this with Cox?
I tried doing this once, and they tried to say it takes a month or so before they can activate service at a place that just disconnected.
I don't buy that. That's crap.

Sure, but as of today it's premature to act surprised that some people still have it.

If it was just me.. it would be super easy to ditch cable.. but living with an entire family.. it just makes it so much easier.
I wish we could get rid of cable, because I use streaming for everything..
Really though by the time you figure the bundle.. it really isn't all that much more. Cable internet prices are going up any ways, especially if you pay the extra $50 to have no data cap.. which I have to have.
My cable bill alone, without internet, is probably right around $100.. and that's with multiple boxes/rooms.. and then I get up to like 12 e-mails that I can share with family/friends to access apps such as WatchESPN, Disney, ABC, etc.. This saves them having to buy a sling-like type of subscription which is really nice.
We can also access all our tv channels via an app or web browser from home.. What would be so awesome is if you could access this all outside of your home network, but that's not happening.

I pretended to be divorced to get in your mom's drawers

You still need to pay the cable company for internet in many places and when you add up to streaming services with your internet bill it’s more expensive than cable plus internet
It depends on the situation. We were paying about $200 for internet and cable. Now we pay $90 for internet and $35 for YouTubeTV. It's worth it to me just to not have a contract and having to call Cox and threaten to leave every 12 months.

I didn't do that but similar. Well, close. After my divorce I went to Latter Day Saints.com and signed my ex up for a free copy of the Book of Mormon. I checked the boxes to visit and call as well. The kiddo says they still call and knock 7 years later so that's a win.

I thought this was going to be some weird married people sex fantasy thing.
"I'm going take half of everything you own, you slut!"

On the same note, if you tell the restaurants and hotels you’re on your anniversary trip you will get perks.

I don’t get it.
I’m Mr Smith. I got a divorce. Can I switch my account to Mrs. Smith who I’m obviously not?

If the account is in Mr. Smith's name, have mrs. Smith call and have the account switched to her name, enabling her to recieve promotions as a new customer and vice versa if it is in her name.

I thought this was to get on govt assistance. That's what all the black women do that work at our local hospital.
