We only eat at restaurants when traveling so 6. If it gets put on the grill or smoker, I cook it. I don't touch anything in the kitchen except the refrigerator.

Most nights. Occasionally we'll get pizza or go to this cheap Mexican restaurant 5 minutes away.

I do 90% of the cooking because I'm a much better cook than my wife and because I enjoy it. It's meditative. And it gets me out of cleaning the litter box.

I cook more than my wife. She probably prepares about 2 meals a week on average, would be even less if I got home earlier than I do from work

this

turning music on, sipping on a drink, and cooking is a lot more relaxing to me than chasing a couple of kids around the house

My wife handles it 1-2 times a week. I do the rest. She actually works later than I do most days so I have more time in the evenings.

As do I. We go in phases though as far as how often we actually cook per week.

With no kids and nontraditional job schedules, it isn't unusual for one of us to be home alone at dinnertime. No interest in cooking for just myself on a weeknight.

Plus, there are certain restaurants each of us must hit every other week or so to scratch the itch. So there's a solid restaurant rotation sprinkled in.
