How many hours did you spend playing with these toys as a kid?

They were a blast when combined with fireworks.

Every time I spent the weekend at my maw maw and paw paw's they would let me an my brothers walk over to the local grocery an buy a couple of these balsa planes. It would occupy us for at least 3 hours. After we got bored we'd sneak in the woods and smoke.

The Tom Thumb behind my neighborhood had them. For $2-3 you could get a squadron of the monoplanes or a couple of the biplanes.

Bottle rocket modifications were always needed.

The balsa gliders and wind-ups were regular toys that lasted a couple hours max.

This.
We would head down to PakASak and get the gliders for about 15c. Wind ups a bit more expensive so we didn’t get them often. They lasted about an hour. Then the Black Cats took over.
