Just have the men throw their feces at the gorilla. It would confuse the hell out of him.

Well yeah, at the same time. Humans are not stupid. It would not be a random free for all. It would be a planned attack

the plan is going to go out the window when the first 2 or 3 guys have their skulls caved in or arms ripped off

Yeah, you know how this scenario plays out in real life?

You have to offer people a buttload of money, and after the first 3 or 4 people are brutally beaten to death, everyone else flees.

You know the first wave ain't getting the job done and when the bloodshed gets bad, the second wave is gonna reconsidet their options real fast.

I can assure you there would be plenty of feces available for throwing.

And I know what you meant. A gorilla can probably curl the weight of 3 grown men with one arm.

Well this is a common tactic in the gorilla world, so they would be the opposite of confused

Hell, they might throw shite at their attackers as they are charged just to cover them in shite before they pound everyone to death

This one cracks me up:

Id say about 15 really hefty ladies and 20 well trained NFL linemen. The hefty gals go in first and create a wagon wheel of cankles. The linemen then push into the back of the fat pack. You'd essentially be suffocating the ape with enough tit sweat to drown a fish

Edit - When I say hefty I mean the 400+ers. Just small enough to still be mobile but big enough to really test the strength of bed springs.

Yall are crazy you don't have to approach him in a single file line. You get a couple of guys on his back, a couple on each arm and leg, choking him, kicking his balls, gouging his eyes, biting etc... 20-25 strong, well conditioned, adult males would have success. Probably could kill 3-4 and wound 12-15.

According to several websites, 4,600 lbs.

Certainly way way more then any man, but that is too much. A lot of websites got that from some tv show which didn’t really use very much science to get to that number.

It’s not a natural movement (really long arms too) for them and they would most likely tear their muscles. They’re much better at pulling then pushing. Which would mean they’re probably strong enough to tear a person to pieces.

I’d take the over 20, and yes it is definitely possible. If you have a continuous amount of guys going after the gorilla he will eventually fatigue. He may kill 10, 20, 30 or whatever but the numbers always win

Only so many men can attack at one time before they get in each other’s way.

In his prime, could Mike Tyson knock one out in one punch?

IF Tyson was able to land a clean haymaker to the gorillas jaw, he would have a maximum of 3 seconds to vacate the premises before the silverback devoured and shat him out.

nah you'd just have to find 30+ people with massive egos. Could probably get 2-3 just from this thread

This. The relative strength of chimpanzees vis a vis humans at “pulling” was once measured at around 8 to 1. A full grown male gorilla is 5 times the body weight of a chimpanzee.

This whole speculative exercise is silly.

Humans used to capture these animals 100 years ago. Albeit we used tools and trickery.

Having a strong neck and traps helps your head stay stable and avoid a KO. A gorilla's basically the definition of strong neck and traps.

I'm not sure a human could generate the force necessary to KO a gorilla under any circumstances.

Look at this fight, neither one flinches:
