FIFY
A grown man has a hard time trying to control a pissed off house cat with no tools.

this is like the "how many 5th graders could you take on?" questions

there comes a point where the sheer mass is too much

The mass is much higher though.

I can't kill 5th graders nearly as quickly and effortlessly as a silver back could kill me. And I'm 200 lb, 6'2 guy.

It'd be more like "how many preschoolers could you take on?". And the answer is hundreds.

According to several websites, 4,600 lbs.

Well no shite.

A gorilla would end Mike Tyson in under 5 seconds.

I should say I'm an out of shape, dad bod 6'2" 200 lb guy

And I'd probably die from fear before a gorilla touched me if I fell into a combat situation with one in enclosed quarters

I'd say it could be done with 15 very strong men.

I'd fight 5 Mike Tysons before a gorilla. With the Tysons, they'll probably just knock you out, maybe pee on you while you're unconscious and you might not even have lasting brain damage.

The gorilla might legitimately rip your head off. Even odds you lose part of an arm or he snaps your spine. They're strong enough that they can snap off anything of yours they get their hands on.

Plus, Tyson at least had some limits. That gorilla thinks it's a fight to the death and you're dead.

I can't agree here.

And the reason is a leg press. Those joints and muscles are designed to push.

Gorillas are excellent at pulling but weaker at pushing. They also have the issue of longer arms and shorter legs. No lower body push, lower bench.

Given their sheer size, I would say 1500-2000 is a more intelligent guess.

Now a row? thousands and thousands of lbs.

Well whatever, I’m no gorilla anatomy expert.

It’s enough strength to pop your head like pimple, that’s all I need to know.

Exactly. I'm not afraid of a gorilla pushing my limbs and head off.

If you clone Hafthor Bjornsson 15 times and pit them against a silverback, one of those clones will be used a club to beat the other 14 clones to death, and then he'll be torn apart. Even for as strong as Bjornsson is, a gorilla is about 10 times as strong and whole lot quicker. Not to mention, they can bite like a mother fricker at 1,300 PSI.

Someone mentioned fighting Tyson or a gorilla, which made me think. Mike Tyson might be dumb enough to actually try to fight a gorilla if the purse is high enough. All the OT ballers should chip in and make this happen.
