Not "I work 80 hours a week grading papers and massaging kids in my car ARGH ARGH love me!" days.
Actual legal paid days?

Likely depends on how they want their salary divided.
Teachers get an amazing amount of hate on this board. Some have it easy and many don’t.

Depends on subject and position. Most are considered 182 day employees but it can range from between 178-240.

EBR started Aug 3.we got a week for thanksgiving. 2.5 weeks for Xmas. We got 3 days for Madrid Gras and one week for spring break. We had Labor Day, MLK day, Good Friday, and Election Day. I might be missing a one day holiday somewhere. Our last day was May 23.

The state mandates a certain minimum number of minutes that must be taught. It is up to the district/parish to determine how the minutes are broken up. So a parish on a 4 day week may teach 155 days (which will obviously be longer days) while a parish on a 5 day week usually teaches 175 - 180 days.

185 + 10 in the summer and a few after school training that last 1.5 hours during the year. Summer thing isn't required and labeled as curriculum training although they let you know it is required.
