93 and change. I'd like to see the Tricentennial.

Me too. I was going to say this, but didn't want to sound nerdy. I'll be 93 as well.

There isn't going to be a Tricentennial.

I'm 66 and I figure I've got maybe another 5 or 6 years of acceptable health. No matter what, I'm determined not to outlive my ability to live the way I wish to. It's not death I fear, but living like a semi-vegetable, which I have seen too many people do.
I believe I've lived long enough and if death comes tomorrow I won't feel cheated in the slightest. As the song says, "I'm a man with a satisfied mind" and that that's plenty enough.

I'll be lucky to make it past Vegas this weekend.

I'll probably die the day I stop doing drugs. I think it's the only thing keeping me alive at this point.

Not as long as my Mom I can guarantee that, 93 and counting thank goodness.

I personally don't care to live beyond 50, maybe 55.
I used to have the same attitude, but you'd be amazed how much that changes when you start creeping toward 50.

So that gives me about another 20 years.
So, early 30s, then. Give it until you're about 40 and I think you'll start seeing it differently. Maybe not, but it would be my guess that you will.

I have no desire to deal with failing health, living on pills to maintain,
Nobody has a desire to deal with that, but the alternative is even less desirable.

getting to the point where I can't enjoy the life I live.
You can still enjoy your life in spite of getting older.

I've abused my body pretty good through sports and feel it daily, but it's not bad enough to where it slows me down. Once I get to that point, take me out, I'm done if I make it that long.
Most people have abused their bodies in one way or another while they were young, and yes you do feel it daily later in life, but it's nothing so bad that you should rather be dead.

I've always had a feeling something would get me a little sooner though and I'm shocked it hasn't yet. I have no qualms about doing 150+ on a motorcycle, jumping crazy shite, or whatever. I'm no Travis Pastrana, but I've always lived for the thrill.
To each his own, but even that need for adrenaline thrill can change over time.

I will not live to see old age and I have no regrets about that. I have too many health issues and chronic pain to want to go thru 20+ more years of this life. If there is a heaven then I know my soulmate is there, waiting for me. If there is no heaven then at least there will be peace.
Although I could die in a freak accident or medical crisis any day, I also know that if that doesn't happen I will leave this earth on my own terms, by my own hand.
I do wish there were a way to "check out" in a way that the medical community could make the most of harvesting my usable organs and parts. I would have happily given my own life so that my friend who recently died of cancer could have lived.
Yeah, I likely have a very unpopular opinion on my life and death but I've had an interesting life and it's been a great ride but there comes a time when you say "ok ,enough" and make your peace and go.
I have no fear of death, will never get over losing my fiance and some days I can't wait to get to heaven just to see him again
Please understand I have been thru many deaths in the last year and my heart is hurting. And yet another blow again today as another loved one is diagnosed with incurable cancer and will only be given palliative care.

Idk.
I've gotten to know lots of older guys last 5-10 years through our golf club.
3-4 have died in past year so, mostly to cancer or some other degenerative disease.
It's too to watch.
My grandfather is 92 with Alzheimer's and that's terrible too.
So idk.
Death is inevitable.. Good thing we can't see our end.

Low to mid nineties have been pretty much the norm in my family.
That can be just as much a curse, as a blessing.
