If the Trump administration can lower energy prices with less regulations, incentives, and investments, we should see some decrease in inflation and hopefully lower prices.

Prices are not going anywhere anytime soon.
The key is to reduce costs. Transportation and anything energy related price reduction, should result in better prices at checkout. That's the first step.

DRILL, BABY, DRILL!

Yes you do. Everything is overpriced and a bubble, it's not sustainable. If you don't people who make under 60k will be rioting soon. Me and the wife make a good living but if I am realistic about the situation, your average american family is struggling and barely holding on.

Not true. 2009 I bought a previous 600k house for 300k because of the housing bubble. We are in bubble territory again

Oil and gas are cheap right now and have been for much of the past year+

Oil is like 58 dollars a barrel in 2020 dollars. That’s dirt cheap.

Housing is different. Was speaking more so basic consumer goods. A company isn’t going to go backwards on the margin.

Has Biden replenished our strategic oil reserves yet?

Fully?

Nope.

But they have started buying earlier this year.

Btw the actual strategic reserve is the billions and billions of barrels of oil in our waters and under our soil. The shite being stored in the SOR is a drop in the bucket.

You will see items on sale but no appreciable lessening. New set points have been established and won't alter too terribly much

The problem is that if prices go down, wages will follow so there's no benefit to the average person.

A situation like Japan can follow where the economy stagnates for decades and years and years go by without raises. This has resulted in a situation where Japanese people are still wealthy compared to poor countries but they have become poor relative to rich countries.

There's a reason America has the greatest economy in the world. Not the largest but the most impactful. It's because we value innovation and growth and attract investment from all over the world. Losing that edge could be very very bad.

"Grocery prices have skyrocketed; how can a family afford that? So, when I win, I will immediately bring prices down," Trump said.

He promised on the campaign to get prices down and fast. I would expect we see groceries get cheaper and closer to 2019 prices by the summer of 2025. Even Trump acknowledged he won on promising cheaper groceries so this is important.
