I’m definitely a don’t stay too long type of guy. But my extended family like to get good and liquored up and then play games after the meal. Which is fine and dandy but I could tell in the hosts faces that they want people the hell out of their house after the meal.

I love Christmas with family...we will have 25ish, 4 generations, kids are well behaved, food is great, liquor is top notch and the card games later in day are classics....until my FIL decides it time to spark a fatty inside and his daughters flip out, the men go outside and pacify the good old baw and partake with him..

After chowing and rippin gopen gifts, etc., we usually spen an hour or so and then book. We live a mile from the InLaws and a couple of hours total works well for both families. My parents are deceased.
