How long could you and your SO live in a van before one of you went crazy?

I would give me and Mrs. Hogwarts a week (tops). She would get ticked off at something stupid I would do and then drive off and leave me out in the woods to fight bears with a stick.

I could do it by myself for a while. Just get a snap fitness membership to have places to shower. My wife would go crazy even though all she has really done since covid restrictions hit is sit around

About 3.50 weeks.

A little longer if it's down by the river.

I have a friend who's lived in a Van off and on for a year and there is no way I could do it. I don't care how great your "morning views" of the pacific northwest are when you have to go to a Love's truck stop right after to take a shite/shower.

Let’s be fair and understand that is hardly a ‘van’. It’s a 2 door/ 2 seat work vehicle with a sliding door and rear door. You can’t get away from each other.

Some of the sprinter type of vehicles are twice the size. One could be sleeping in the back and someone driving in a sprinter and be almost separated. No such thing in this case.

I was thinking the newer movie, Nomadland. Looks like an incredibly lonely existence.

Two years, but when the van is rocking, call me so I can show up and shoot someone.

One of the popular YouTubers, Mav, commented on a video of hers that it is extremely difficult to live off grid with someone and hopes that nothing drastic happened.

It's probably much easier when you are 20 years old, madly in love and each day is something fresh and new.

Mrs. Cotten and I have been full timing (first in a class B, now in a self built Transit HR/EL) with our two dogs for the past 3 years. We’ve been working together the last 7 years.

You certainly learn a lot about a person living in such a small space and away from so many other people, but I definitely wouldn’t have it any other way.

We’re both 28 for context.

That's fascinating you live like that. Are you employed and just work remotely? How does that work with internet? I assume hot spots but that has to be cumbersome after awhile.

Are we living in the van in a Walmart parking lot, or are we driving to amazing places every few days?
If it had a shower and a shitter, we could go for months. The thought of not showering or using public showers doesn't appeal to me at all.

I work with a guy that lives in a class A with his girlfriend, they just tour the country until it's time for him to go to work and she drops him off at an airport and when he's finished with work he flies to wherever they decide to meet at

My wife and I travelled around NZ for 5 weeks in 2012 when she was pregnant with our first. No issues.
