83 here. We're tech savvy but we also remember life without smart phones, the internet and Wi-Fi. shite I can remember using my grandmother's rotary phone. We didn't get our first desktop computer until around the mid 90s, maybe a little earlier. Couple of years after we got dial up internet and thought it was amazing. My first phone was a Nokia brick phone when I was a senior in high school. One thing about those was it was easier to text and drive because I didnt have to look at the screen, just memorized how many times to press the buttons to get the right letters. We played outside and rode our bikes everywhere. When we got tired of that it was NES or SNES. Spent a lot of hours on Mortal Kombat and Super Tecmo Bowl. Good times.

Even though your family and high school let you down, you are still lumped in with the million kids who could use technology.
My daughter was born same year.
Her high school taught the Microsoft word and excel and SQL database programming her soph year.
School districts and families apparently vary in their embrace of culture. Your school was a backwater.
The democrat presidents tried to get congress to bring technology to your school. States and districts thumb their noses at feds. You lost in the fight to remain in charge of 1895.

Bc millennial is term to describe people born in a certain age and you fall within that date range. It doesn’t matter what you consider yourself.
Come to think about it, you sound like a typical millennial claiming you don’t identify with a certain group regardless of the fact that you are the exact definition of that group

Millennial literally means somebody who would graduate high school in 2000 and the years after. I am completely amazed at the complete lack of education of this board. And, that's right, I have not even graduated college.

They’re still considered millennial (at least those born in the early 90s) but not for the (HS grad) reason he said.
Now I don’t understand why some people consider people born in the early 2000s millennials. They had smartphones and tablets when they were in elementary school.
