I joke with people that Bar crim law hypos are just insane worst case scenarios of minor law breaking. It starts with some poor kid smoking weed on his porch and ends with said kid having murdered three police officers in an interstate standoff, but only after committing another fourteen crimes while in flight over the course of the day (and if you missed that felony grade damage to a coin operated device, you can frick off)

I think the rules have changed, but when I took it, Michigan let you "multistate out" if you got like a 150 or something to where they wouldn't even look at your essays. Many people just put all their eggs in one basket and studied for the six MBE topics instead of the dozens of things that could be asked on the Michigan part. I even know one genius guy who didn't bother showing up for the essay portion because he knew he was fine due to the MBE.

When did they finally stop holding it in the Superdome?

Took it while a full crew was installing new turf on the field, and you could hear the racket from that shite the whole time.

That was a weird thing with Michigan. You had the entire state taking it at the Breslin Center at Michigan State. Luckily, people warned us to dress warm because of the air conditioning. It was funny getting bundled up in the middle of summer.

Haha no clue. When I took it, it was offered in BR (River Center, which is where I took it) and Nola (convention center, I think). Few years ago, they made it Nola only, which is bullshite. Maybe this epidemic will get them to pull their heads out of their asses again.

I made the minimum passing score, which was a 75 I think. My dad (non lawyer) thought is was hilarious and had it framed for me.

I crushed the MPRE. The advice I give kids is not to overthink it. If you think your answer is clever, it’s probably wrong. Read the question carefully and give yourself no more than five seconds to come up with an answer. Anymore than that and you’re going to talk yourself out of the right answer. Rat out your friends, give back the money, protect your client.

I studied (read old exam questions) the night before and got a 127, and it’s not because I knew the rules better than everyone else back then

I handwrote mine under the theory that my answers would stick out, as 99% of test-takers used their computers.

I write in a proprietary print/cursive hybrid that I knew would frustrate the graders to the point that they would absolutely dock my score

I would bet a tremendous amount of money that she has an IQ of 90 or better. If I were throwing a dart, I would say 105.

For frick's sake, give it up already. Quit trying to make a goddamned bar exam thread about your AOC obsession.

Mental illness.
