That's how my wife and i started each time.
We would eliminate 1 corner, and then successfully work our way through pegs without getting anything stuck in the empty corner.
We really didn't know what we were doing, but with about 5 left, we could see a dance that would leave 2 side by side.

Grandfather taught me how to beat it when I was little. Can't remember how to do it anymore and usually get to 2 or 3.
