Maybe I'm crazy...but I don't think I'd be buying a vehicle from a flooded area anytime soon.

New dealerships dont screw around with that. They will get a fresh crop of dry stock as soon as rain stops

I assume the dealerships have pretty good insurance policies for events like this.

The dealers just out of the flooding are fapping though.

Would be worth driving up to DFW to shop. Got the feels that Houston dealers won't be into cuttin' deals.

And the one insurance everyone I know had good dealings with was their car insurance. I lost two fleet vehicles and it settled in two weeks for really more than they were worth.

used car lots too, they will buy the bulk inventory of all the new ones flooded and resell them, then the smaller dealers will do the same for all the used cars that are not that old.

so its a gold mine all around for everyone and a virtual hazard zone for anyone within 300 miles who is wanting to buy any used vehicle for the next year at least, because 90% of evereything being sold or traded in on new cars will be flooded cars dried out and passed off as not flooded

Yeah and if they get sunroof it will only be $30 more a month. And if you get the sunroof then go ahead and get undercoat paint protection--its only $10 more a month. Also offered is an extended warranty on the windshield wiper motors at a mere $5 a month.

A guy I know is a sales rep for a building supply (mainly roofing) company and he is aways hoping for hail damage to peoples homes. 90% of his commission is from roofing shingle sales.
