I find that the best way to prevent catching this kind of shite is to keep your hands off your face...people shed bacteria everywhere they go and I think the main way that we pick up these illnesses is by picking up bacteria on our hands and rubbing eyes, nose or mouth.

ETA: of coures, kids are basically germ factories and if you have kids, there is really no way to prevent catching all kinds of shite that they bring home.

Sore throat is usually tied to drainage at night. Take Mucinex D (it is OTC but you have to ask the pharmacist for it because of meth-heads) to dry it up. Use aerosol saline spray in the shower to clean out the nasal passages.

Those Zicam swabs that go up your nose. The ingredients look like total woo (no actual zinc like they used to have), but they seem to seriously work for me if I use one when I feel those symptoms starting.

Sinus infections?! Take a shot of then snort a few drops of apple cider vinegar. Snorting is going to hurt like hell for a few seconds but it will 100 percent shrink your swollen nasal glands. Then you’ll be blowing a lot of green nasty thick mucus out of your nose for a good thirty minutes to an hour. Thirty minutes later go with a good honey lozenger. If the sinus issues are chronic then get sinus surgery.
