Luckily, we have HOA restrictions that prohibit people parking in the street (over night or on a regular basis).

Park a car or two at your local Walmart and carpool. You're welcome.

It's common knowledge here that you have managed lots of "cars" in your "driveway" for years.

Why ask us now for advice?

Looks as if the driveway is 2 cars wide. How long is the driveway?

Could you move the blue car back just enough to leave space for the white car on the right to back up, while parking the new car behind the white car on the left as close as you can get to the street? Would this allow for a gap between the cars to pass through?

It is. But with the part where three cars can park side by side at the top

From the garage to street is probably 5 cars long

Park three at the top of the driveway and then 3 single file going down the very left of the driveway , use the right side of the driveway to travel on

You have a long "driveway".

This is the solution to your problem.

3 up front by the house... 2 at the back with a center isle to back out through... Just make sure and drink at least 1 cup of coffee before leaving for work.

I don't think it's common to have 5 drivers/cars in the same house.

For example, my husband and I have 1 car each, both of which are parked in the garage.

We have 5 vehicles in our household , me the wife and two kids each have vehicles plus I have a company truck ....

We have a double driveway , a garage and a single driveway on the other side of my house that goes all the way from the street to the back yard fence and we still have issues with moving cars ....

I can literally park 11 cars without anyone in the street but three cars would block everyone else in ....

Seems like one solution would be to park the 3 cars near the house as shown. Move the blue car back far enough for the 3 near the house to be able to maneuver around it. Park the 5th car directly behind the blue car allowing the blue car room to pull forward and then back out. If the driveway is only the approximate length of 5 cars this may prove challenging to inexperienced drivers.

Just scoot your trailer over and give yourself more room.

Has anyone mentioned the fact that a lot of grown children are living at home with their parents?

She said she was laid off, so she doesn't work.

The kid is a kid and probably goes to school, so he most likely doesn't work.

Brother just started driving, people don't want to hire folks without reliable transportation, so he probably doesn't work.

I assume the other 2 drivers are their parents, who probably retired early and wanted to enjoy a quiet peaceful retirement without their adult children moving back in to eat their food & tear up their grass by using the yard to get around their cars.

So basically you've got 5 drivers who don't work.
