Honestly, when you wrote this, did you think “oh man I got him!” Or were you just desperately trying to deflect from the sad person that you are?

Is that what you thought with your DUI question?

So , youre just projecting.

But was my question unwarranted? And was it not relevant to the topic?

Best thing you can do for them is offer you sincere condolences for the trouble they are going through and stay out of it.

It came out of your raw arse, feelings were hurt.

All because I gave you a compliment about being a great salesman, Niles. Tsk

I've never seen someone so defensive over a compliment.

Tell them he is SOL. Should have turned his life around after the first offense

I don’t work in that jurisdiction, but assuming we’re talking state charges and not federal, $25k seems high. Unless he or the family were jackasses who I simply wanted to go away, I probably would have quoted somewhere between $8,500 and $12,500 for a couple of low to mid level felonies with no adult rap, with a rider in the contract outlining additional fees for trial.

Look. I think, based on limited knowledge of post history and never meeting you in real life, that you are a no-nonsense “if you frick up tough shite” type of person. And im not knocking you for that.

Except for the fact that you are a person who has absolutely fricked their life. Many times over, I’m guessing.

Learn empathy.

Absolutely not. My life is fine. I'm not having to huck my business like a used car salesman, like you do which smells of desperation.

Empathy? A lack of accountability is EMPATHY?

Wanting to overpay some fricking lawyer for a predecided outcome.. Youre so precious.

That sales pitch may be interpreted to guarantee a result. I can't speak for other jurisdictions, but that's a big no no in LA.

And, as I tell potential clients all the time, in criminal law, if the lawyer over-promises, the client is the one at risk of believing it, and he may have years in jail to write bar complaint letters.

Having a law degree and practicing law aren’t the same thing.

I have to be honest, that’s about the most flattering insult I’ve ever heard. I’m an object of value not to be wasted? Thank you!

I think you’re an angry, bitter person likely in their 60s and I think you won’t be missed when you pass. But that’s just one person’s opinion.

Youre the one who got upset in this thread simply because you fricked up and gave shitty info, and got called on it.

I dont know why it bothered you that your pitch was compared to a car or insurance salesman because its 100% spot on.

Not to mention your desire for a lack of accountability

I said what I would do in the situation. And I stand by it.

If I get into legal trouble, which I haven’t thankfully, I’m spending whatever it takes to protect myself.

And being upset or not, which I am not, I truly believe you’re an angry and bitter person. I don’t want that for you or anyone else.

Youre wrong. And sleazy.

But he, it works for you. That insurance gig is probably more lucrative.
