This thread is about Endymion. As you might expect, I buy more than the default required throws that every Endymion member must buy.

I spend another $1500 on throws and do just fine. I only throw stuff to kids and chicks with big tits. I stopped buying “throw beads” because the people down want them, they just hit the ground. I buy all big beads and light up stuff.
You’re right nobody wants “throw beads” not locals anyway. I got a bag of plushes last year and even seen a few kids just catch them and toss them on the ground. I did have a ton of food items that seemed like a big hit. Next year I’ll probably do 75 % moon pies , chips Etc

The bead that I like are the individual float beads. This year, they figured it out and put it on a bead large enough not to get tangled up.

I’m not aware of anyone in Endymion required to buy a throw package other than possibly those on “signature floats”.
A throw package has been included in our dues for the past three years.

I’m with four other friends. I’d stop riding instead.

eehhhh, i suggest you join a deer camp
you can hang out with your kids, ride four wheelers, drink whiskey and build fires any time of the year
if not, just talk to darrel d’aquin or jimmy hanzo…

I am on the Pontchatrain Beach float and we are required to buy a throw package to the tune of about $750.

Is this the package that's part of dues or an additional package?

Part of the dues.
PB has the 750-800 package that is now included in dues like everyone. It also has an additional 300-350 package, as I believe all the signature floats have, that gives it special PB beads.

1250 and it comes with a small throw package but they cram those girls on those floats. I guess not a bad consolation since muses never lets in any new blood and you get to ride in a night parade.

Sorry, just saw this. If I remember correctly it was $1700. But there's a lot of plus plusses. If I spend more than $3000-3300 for the whole year (not including charitable sponsorships and some extra-curriculars) I would be surprised.
