Hell, from what I've seen 90% of the POS that get out of their cars in those spots look perfectly fine to me and certainly dont look to fit the qualifications for being handicapped. Maybe they are mentally? I think a greater majority of them are those "people" that abuse welfare.

I don’t care. If I was handicap it would probably upset me

I don’t have tags but I’m told I’m retarded a lot so I think I get a pass

I literally broke the whole left side of my body and never parked in a handicap spot. Thought about it, but didn’t. There’s always a right and wrong decision. Justifying a wrong decision doesn’t make it right

My issue isn't that the handicapped have parking spaces. I'm not handicapped so I don't park in them. Period. My issue is the insane number of spaces that have been dedicated to them in newer businesses.

Murder over handicap parking space
Three people from the Orlando area came to Sarasota for a weekend getaway, but one of them, Jonathan Arias, was shot and killed. A disabled homeless man, 66-year-old Richard Minor, is in jail accused of the crime.

When my mother was in her early to mid 90's she got a handicapped tag even though her physical ability was at half of her chronological age. She thought that she should get one because many of her friends were getting them and it would be nice to park close to the front door of the businesses. She didn't want to hang it in her car in the local community because people might ask her what her handicap was. She asked me what I thought that she should tell them if they asked. I brought a sudden end to the conversation by telling her to just tell them that the reason that it didn't didn't show was because she mentally handicapped.
You had to know my mother to truly understand.

I had a serious accident a few years ago, I can walk, but not very far or very long, so if I can't find a close spot, I guess I'm not going shopping that day. Hospitals, especially OLOL are the worst offenders, they put zero effort into enforcement.
Back in February a close family member was in OLOL almost 2 weeks , I wanted to go visit her, the handicapped spots in the parking garage are by the elevators on each floor, I drove up and down, no spots with reasonable walking distance. I was about to drive home when I spotted my nephew coming out, he got in my car and dropped me off near an elevator and told me he'd wait until I visited his mother.
I didn't stay long, and in the meantime my nephew had found a handicapped spot for me, great guy. He also had taken pics of all the cars on 2 floors parked in HC spots, 3 were legitimate. The rest were either old, expired, crumbling tags, or fake duplicate printed.
He turned them into OLOL security, but I doubt that any action was taken.
