How do y’all handle seating arrangements at Thanksgiving?

We go in order of seniority. The host couple and oldest relatives sit at the dining room table. It’s helpful if some of the seniors are already in wheelchairs since they basically bring their own seat. The rest of the adults sit at the kitchen table, or on the sofas with TV trays. The youngsters get a card table or two on the carport. Happy Thanksgiving!

We put the old people in the corner of the yard in plastic chairs

Grandparents and older relatives get the good table and chairs, everyone else in the living room or garage.

Every year we make a game out of it. Everyone gets a turn feeding grandpa mashed potatoes thru the PEG tube in his stomach, the first one to make his colostomy bag burst first, gets the first seat at the table. Pure family fun!!

Try to strategically place the people more likely to be at odds with each other apart.
And if anyone is unvaccinated they eat separately in the garage. Can’t take any chances.
Side note, I just read that domestic calls go up 20% on Thanksgiving, lol
