I had two older ladies attempt this maybe 5 years ago. When they asked to come in I politely declined. They asked why not and I simply replied with I have certain disagreements with their beliefs, but respected them and thanked them for stopping by.

When me and my wife first got married over 30 years ago we lived in a shitty house a few houses down from a Jehovas Witness church. One of them fricked up and beat my door down for over a minute on a Saturday morning barely 6:00 AM. I lost it on the two poor souls. They never messed with us for the next three years we lived there.
