Obama and his race baiting bullshite. If I had a son, etc. He stirred the racial pot for stink instead of fixing things. Obama could have been the greatest President in my lifetime if he had:
1. Got on his podium And say, “ you don’t have the excuses you make out, want, or been lead to believe. The American government is here to help and advance you with opportunity. He could have pointed his finger, shook that finger at them and told them, here I am, a black man as your President. I have a black AG. We have a black man on the Supreme Court or more than one occasion. Colin Powell was Chairman of the JCS. Condeleeza Rice was Sec of State, Susan Rice in whatever capacity. He could have said I MADE IT, all these people Made it. Preparation, desire, and hard work can open opportunity for all of You also. But you have to want it and WORK for it. Get off your arse Black America, in spite of what you think, believe or been brainwashed. The FIRST Black POTUS is here to tell you, This is the Promised Land!”
He could have made this speech, kicked some black arse and put it into practice. He would have been lauded and accomplished Greatness beyond his wildest dreams. Republicans would have rallied to him!
But he chose the Apology Tour, kneeled to Muslim Kings, he sucked Al Sharpton. Jessie Jackson, NAACP, and the Congressional Black Caucus at every turn of the corner.
He Chose wreck hell on the Military with social experiments and social causes. Transgenders, women in infantry units, Diversity Training like we are hearing about. And more. But no need to spell it out any further
He chose the Bad mean ole America path! There you go.

We have lost our spine. Its only a matter of time before our freedom follows.

The idea of someone finally going off the deep end because the almighty Drew Brees has been corrupted is the most TD thing ever.

Any one that bought the Atlantic's story is a moron. It wasn't even plausible.

It's easy for most people to avoid it completely if they take a break from social media.

This country desperately needs a legitimate leader.
Absolute shite take. People waiting around for some false God is exactly why we're in the situation we're in. People make garbage choices then expect a politician to wish away the consequences of those bad choices.
It's time we stop believing politicians have any clue how to save us.

I dream of the day I wake up to video of some 100-200 person crowd of ANTIFA/BLM types terrorizing restaurant patrons...only to round a corner and see 1000 everyday citizens standing there with bats

The internet, social media, and big news networks definitely fan the flames.
As another poster said, most people aren't that far apart on their beliefs and if people could calm down and have a legitimate conversation we could see that. The problem is all that gets plastered on media are the far ends of the spectrum and it fuels the hatred of the "other side".

I honestly believe a lot of this junk has come about because life has become too easy for the vast majority of Americans. We grow up coddled without any true adversity in our lives. So, a lot of people look for adversity or controversy.
I heard on some podcast the other day put like this: Some folks have so little to do with their time, that they started complaining about genderless bathrooms. People in the 30's didn't have time to worry about men and women using the same bathrooms. They were killing themselves because their life savings vanished practically overnight. Or they were worried about not being able to eat much more than a slice of bread for 4 days. Someone would have been laughed out of town had they came to the town hall meeting worrying about bathrooms back then.
I think we might have gotten to this point were at now 15 years ago if 9/11 and then Afghanistan/Iraq hadn't happened. There wasn't any real strife for americans for a long time before that, but we were attacked, and a lot of brave men and women answered the call. There's been no call for this generation to answer, and here we are.
