I liked Nectar but went with Tuft & Needle because they’re made in America baw. Supposedly Nectar was in trouble with the FTC because they claimed to be made in America but were made in China?

I got a wink bed. That was a thing of beauty to watch after breaking the seal

a $3,000 mattress might only cost $300 to manufacture — a 900 percent markup.
Mattress place still has to pay rent, payroll, utilities, etc. out of that. They rent those big arse spaces. I wonder how often they sit around all day and don't sell a damned thing.

Yep, and the average person buys one every 8-10 years or so, I'd imagine.

You are probably right. I'd suggest you make your own or sleep on hay bc I'd never pay that price if I were you.

Which is why I am convinced all those mattress stores are money laundering fronts. No way they are staying open on mattress sales.

14 psi is a lot of pressure over such a large surface area.

Not sure if still true, but a lot of the memory foam chemicals are made in Geismar at BASF.
Where they don’t make a lot of the products you buy. They make a lot of the products you buy better.

It is impressive be sure to open the amazon package in the room the mattress is going in. Learned that lesson.

Sounds like a Kramer storyline in a Seinfeld episode.
Setting: Jerry's apartment
Jerry: "What's in the box?"
Kramer: "Oh, this. It's a new mattress."
"In a shoebox?"
"Yeah, yeah. My friend Bob Sacamano hooked me up with it. The thing is amazing. Here, let me show you."
"Wait, Kramer, this might not be the best place to ..."
[psssss sound as mattress expands, sound of crashes, glass breaking. Kramer flails wildly at the mattress as he tries to contain it.]
"He said it was twin size, Jerry! Twin size!"
Freeze on Kramer pinned against the wall by the enormous mattress. Roll credits.

I like the Nectar. A little soft for me, but good support.
I'll let y'all know how it it performs during sex. Hopefully I'll get that done by Christmas.
