Do you have children?

Anime is very hit and miss for me. Miyazaki has created some of the greatest movies of all time, but some other anime is largely too lazy or too fricking weird for me to get into it. I am very rarely indifferent to an anime that I've seen.

Yep. I think people lose sight that kids are their own people, they might not share the same interest as mom and dad and that's not a bad thing..it's just them being them rather than meing mini you's.
Encourage them to find what they're interested in, expose them to all kinds of things (even stuff you don't get and find boring), and strive for them to grow up and be successful and happy and enjoying whatever their interests are - even anime.

The fact OP knows what a weeabo is tells me he is a closet anime fan and is either trolling or is feeling insecure and feels the need to feel more alpha then his fellow weebs.

Has anyone in this thread actually met one in real life?
Only place Scruffy ever hears that term is in the Internet.

If the worst thing my kids get into is a few Japanese cartoons I'll probably call that a win.

I have a distant cousin in Argentina who is obsessed with anime. I'm pretty sure she does shite like this.

Anime is characters with really big eyes and lightening in the background.
Does that sum it up?

Did that guy hover-hand a cartoon?
Posted on 9/4/17 at 9:43 pm to Brosef Stalin
People like that don't actually exist.

This. Nothing wrong with watching Dragon Ball Z after school. That shite was dope. Now if you walk in on him beating off to some cartoon girl getting smashed by an octopus, be concerned.

OP sounds like one of those parents who insists that their kids have the same interests that they do.
Posted on 9/4/17 at 9:47 pm to _Hurricane_
Because their parents are probably tattooed up, nose-ringed, green-haired weirdos that work at GameStop

Damn. Yea, every parent should be embarrassed by that.
