I ran into Angelina Jolie when she lived here at the tcby in Old Metarie at like 4:30 in the day and she had the assistant walk in and say no pictures or autographs then she came in 30 seconds later. The only people in there was me and my 5 year old in there and 2 teenage girls working. The workers and I looked at each other like WTF.
I think that was the single most douche move I've ever experienced.

Famous people in New Orleans are famous for New Orleans reasons. Regular famous people are often not even noticed, and if they are, generally not bothered.

Maybe it’s the Chalmette in me but someone famous could be next to me somewhere and I wouldn’t even think it’s him… only ones I’d recognize are our parish presidents and Mitchell Robinson because he’s tall AF

Anyone else, let’s say it’s Tom Brady, I’d wonder what he’s doing here lol. Others, I wouldn’t even know. Some have an entourage. I think anybody would recognize Trump if they saw him

Maybe I should go downtown out and about though tomorrow and see if I recognize anybody on the street…

And IMO NFL players have it easier not being recognized than NBA players because they wear helmets and aren’t freakishly tall for the most part. They’re more normal tall

Most people don’t care and leave them alone.

Last night Taylor Swift ate dinner at Lilette (one of my faves) and there was a huge crowd outside waiting for her.

She’s a special case I guess. That’s another level of ultra fame.

I’ve never been one to be star struck. At the end of the day they are people just like me. But I tell you what. If stone cold Steve Austin walks into a bar I’m at I think I would pass out.
