Oh helpful tip, in Amsterdam, there are bike lanes on every street. There are hardly any bikes at all though in the whole city so make sure when walking just to walk in the bike lane. The locals will appreciate your courtesy.

you have to have flair when you are around other cultures
in most of america, we are a melting pot, unless you are in an incest area like Denham Springs....pretty much everyone looks unique. All the blends of ancestry add variables that create unique facial features, eye/hair colors, heights, weights, etc.
when everyone is unique, they don't need "style" to set themselves apart.
but when you visit other countries, you'll start to see that their are only a couple dozen or so models of people that seemed to have been cloned by the millions.
When this happens, people have to have flair/style to set themselves apart. This then becomes the "norm" of that society. And you have to be either so uniquely attractive to garner attention, or you have to mimic a style that is currently considered attractive.

No, these people are talking about visiting. I have always said it is a great place to visit (if you don't get shot), but a rather terrible place to live. That is my personal opinion. Some people probably hate Denver and I respect their opinion. I happen to love it. It is what it is

I agree with this. Just got back from Italy not too long ago and the Americans there were easy as hell, natives were a much tougher nut to bust. They weren't gaga over Americans like I thought they would. The women are the most beautiful I've ever seen though. Only saw 1 or two uggos the entire time I was there.
