THIS type of bullshite is why we need a national sales tax. Except the tax lawyers and CPAs will never allow it.

Money lost = advantage for tax purpose. Now, go talk to your CPA.

Definitely an advantage. It's always better to lose money.

You would have a net operating loss carry forward for the years you had a net loss. This would be used to offset the net income of future years.

Keep in mind, the transactions you are about to enter into will not be taxed until the following year. It's March... Your tax liability ended on 12/31/15. Any transactions you have during March will not be affected by your current tax filing due this year.

You would be better off not filing than to execute the assault on the tax codes that you are about to undertake

Your questions are easily answered by a CPA.

NOT here.

You are not very sophisticated and the IRS doesn't care that you are ignorant as to things of the world.

They want any/all taxes and penalties you legitimately owe to them.

They actually want more than you actually owe.

Spend the money on the tax professional!

I think the basics of income tax should be taught in high school. I have two degrees and don't know squat about personal income taxes.

Unfortunately, there is really no such thing as income tax basics. shite changes so much and so often that it would be damn near useless by the time you could actually earn money.

My income tax class in college was an open book exam because the professor said there is no point in memorizing anything because it will be different next year.
