How do chopper riders' hands not fall asleep?

Those big choppers with handlebars way above the shoulders or head. And is that not painful holding your hands so high for hours with only brief breaks?
I have tried Siri and Google and the only answer I get is "Donald Trump is mean"

The ones with the handlebars above the shoulder are illegal. Having them is just asking to get fricked with by the cops.
As for the legal ones, I still don't care for them. Some guys love them, others like me don't.
