I bet they have someone high up on their payroll. This person recommended ditching cell phones for the pages and then said I have a supplier as well. Thats my guess

No and no. What we should really be thinking about is how they're able to software hack a device with a battery to explode. Promise you this is equally possible with cell phones.

But there still has to be an explosive in the pager. The little pager battery isn’t going to detonate like a grenade.

The real story is the comeback of pagers. Most publicity they’ve gotten in decades

Seriously. They're blowing up.

This is how I imagine it in my head; Mossad must have implanted the devices with high grade explosives . To simultaneously detonate them they had to know the device receiver frequency and put in a special decoding tool to control the explosive. Then at the given moment , probably after sending out a mass text that had them looking directly at their pager , they pushed a button and BOOM.

I want to know how they distributed them. That was the genius part. How do you hand your enemy his own noose like that.

We have a bunch of chem guys posting here. Is 20 grams of PETN enough to cause an explosion like a small grenade?

I saw something earlier in a story or a tweet that claimed they inserted the explody pagers into a lot that shipped into Lebanon 5 months ago.

Maybe, but the probably ditched cell phones when their man was bombed in Beirut with a compromised cell phone.

You can see the injuries are on their belt line where they would have been wearing them or on their hands/ fingers/ faces. I’d love to know what the message was. They probably sent something long that had them looking directly at the pager.

They inserted explosives. It wasn't a "cyber hack" where they just somehow made batteries explode.

And can you imagine how many perfectly working pagers were subsequently discarded? How many cell phones have been set to the side?

This really could set their communication back weeks and weeks if not longer

You really think they got 1200 batteries to explode all at the same time with a software hack? Seriously?
If they can communicate, then they can be time synched. So yes. It’s possible.
