She logged off. Damn! I wanted to know exactly what she was trying to do.. I have a feeling she has no idea what she think she is doing, works the way it does.

I am thinking she thinks someone (probably her ex husband) can easily access her IP address so they can find out where she it or something. So in order to stop them from getting her IP, she wants to "be safe" and use a proxy. In other words, she assumes someone can easily get her IP if she is online.

It's not hard to get an IP under her scenario. Say she and the ex email each other. Just select "show header details" and boom. The entire list of IP's from start to finish and the provider info.

For some reason, there is only one poster on this board in which I remember reading one of their post for the first time and it is gingerkittie.
This thread stuck with me because when she first posted it, it didn't make sense and I remember thinking "she has to be drunk", but I see it has been edited, but it was still an interesting thread.
