Nope. They're all up and decorated. I help her set them up and I help decorate the one in the living room. She and the kids do the rest.

We also have two outside on each side of our front door but I don't count those because they just have lights on them.

Oh, and I forgot the little 3' tree on the table in the kid's upstairs bathroom. Not counting the two outside, that's eight total we've got up in the house. She also puts lighted garland on the bannister going upstairs. Then there's the Christmas village on top of the cabinets in the kitchen as well. And on top of that there's all the Christmas nick-nacks she puts out everywhere. Right now my house looks like it was decorated by Santa himself.

Mine is about 5 and 3/4 feet but it's more about girth than height anyway

Normally Thanksgiving weekend. But we did it a week early this year because we had so much going on this weekend.

As for why we have more than one, because she wants them. I grew up with just one like most people. But her and her mom both do this whole multiple tree thing. They started back about ten years ago.

I get them out of the attic, set them up, and help decorate the "family" tree in the living room. But I let her and the kids do the rest of rhem.

really? the 12ft tree is in 5 sections that only connect one way and 5 plugs, then stand it up.

i think it took all of 30 minutes and 20 of that was me drinking coffee.

eta the other option is get out in the cold/rain and drive to countless places with trees, open them one by one and get sap all over you trying to find one that everyone in the family likes then of course you tie it the roof, take it home, hunt for the nasty-arse tree stand and hope it fits without having to cut off any branch nubs and then drag it through the house leaving pine needles frickING EVERYWHERE and then stand the fricker up, mess around with the stand screws until its plumb, wipe the sap off your hands again (losing battle) then go get a glass of water & proceed to crawl under tree adding water (you did remember to make a fresh cut right?) and hope you don't get it on the hardwoods then wrap the damn thing up and pray you dont forget to add water every few days for the next month so it doesnt turn into fricking firebox tinder which..no matter what you do..it will turn into come dec 25.

ho
ho
fricking

That would be great.

They've never really asked why presents only go under the living room tree. And now my son is old enough to know what's up when it comes to Santa. He turns 14 this Friday. I will say this though, he's a good enough kid that he is careful to not ruin the whole Santa thing for his little sister who is 7. In fact now he helps us do the Elves every night now.
