This is every airline

But to answer your question, it is lower tier, but if they fly to your destination, its better than connecting somewhere else on a big airline.

The quality of any airline 100% depends on who you sit next to.

Yea, they have a straight shot from S-port to Vegas. I'm a Delta guy but Monroe-Atlanta-Vegas for $2,200 is not looking appealing.

I fly Spirit all the time. I like cheap airlines. I don't need to recline and can provide my own entertainment and pack my own snacks. The biggest negative is the fellow passengers on cheap flights usually are wilder. Like make noise and gasps when the plane makes any noise. I mean seriously everyone should know by now the A321 makes odd pumping noises when powering up the engines from the APU.

Allegiant is better than Spirit in many ways. I still think Frontier is the worst.

The legacy carriers don't give you much more unless you pay for more.
I don't see the problem with the cheap carriers.
. The only complaint I have, was i had a fight get canceled. I paid $225 rt for my flight. They canceled the last leg. Then my refund was only $35. But it cost me $229 to book that leg on SWA, then $50 for a cheap hotel room. Spirit gives no assistance when canceling a flight. That sucked.

I’m convinced every airline is equally shitty at this point. Fly the cheapest or do whatever you have to do to get a direct flight.

Delta must be asking you to swipe your credit card for fuel for the FunRoe to Atlanta leg of your trip since the pond jumper plane will probably have a handful of passengers?

It depends on where you are going. Been in Allegiant to Vegas many times because it flies direct without connections. Flew it to Orlando for same reason. Orlando sucked because of the shear number of screaming kids headed to see Mickey but that’s the same on all flights in there during the Summer. Not really the airline’s fault.

Is it low tier? Yes. Is it cheap? Yes. But it has the same sized seats, the same sized plane and it gets you there for 1/4 of the price with zero chance of your bags getting lost. So yeah it’s good. Better than Spirit or Frontier. Hell it’s better than American, but not nearly as good as United or Delta.

It is tolerable.

Word of advice, if you can, try for a morning flight. Once a cancellation or delay happens on Allegiant, it can become a nightmare.

I get that. I just hate every time I'm in a Spirit plane people make comments and panic over the odd Airbus noises.

Boeings don't do that.

I swear to God I was once asked to close the flight door by a flight attendant on an allegiant flight out of New Orleans.

Being hungover at the time I thought she was joking but she was dead serious so I can say I have in fact secured the door for a commercial flight.

I took that same flight on a bachelor party. It’s the only time I’ve flown Allegiant, but I don’t remember anything negative about the flights there and back.

When I've flown Allegiant it's been a bunch of white midwestern people so it was extremely tolerable.

Do they have first class, comfort plus or anything like that? It doesn't look like it from what I'm seeing...

I had the best experience that I have ever had flying from Nashville to Denver and back last year on Frontier . Boarded early, plane was modern and comfortable and the pilot was hauling arse both coming and going. Shaved about 30 minutes flight time compared to Southwest both coming and going. It’s the only time that I have ever used them so may have been an anomaly.

The seats don't recline and the tray is tiny, just minor complaints though.

Flew Allegiant from Fort Lauderdale to Memphis a few weeks back for the Ole Miss/GT game and it was better than we expected. Seats don't recline and you have to pay for everything, but we were on time both ways.

Tuna fish sandwich for take off breakfast with half a neighbors thigh overlapping your seat bad.

Kinda kidding. Not as bad as the other low budget airlines and usually short routes.
