That’s it. Just want to know how unpleasant it is.

Not bad at all. Just a little soreness for a couple of days.

It wasn’t.

Procedure reimburses around $600-700 so depending on your deductible/out of pocket, you’ll owe some % of that.

It isn’t that bad, seriously. The shots to numb you are worse than anything else. You do gotta take it easy for a couple days but it’s a small price to pay to fire at will.

I remember my Dad getting one, and he spent like an afternoon with ice and was fine that evening.

You should get a little lidocaine cream and some versed before the injection. If not your urologist is kind of a dick. Didn’t notice the shot.

No biggie at all. I have 3 kids, me and my wife decided we were done and a vasectomy was safer than her becoming sterile. Weird side note is you can still have black kids after a vasectomy, happy family though with 4 kids now!!

Imagine getting kicked in the nuts. The pain goes from 0 and steadily increases to 100 at the most painful, and then slowly recedes back to 0 as the pain leaves and you feel normal again.

Getting a vasectomy feels like about 50 on the way back down for 2-3 days. More uncomfortable than hurt/pain.

The two studies compared the number of prostate-cancer diagnoses in almost 25,000 men who had undergone vasectomy with nearly 50,000 men who had not.

Men who had undergone vasectomy more than 20 years earlier were almost twice as likely as their unsterilized counterparts to have been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Overall, the rate of such diagnoses was about 60% higher among the men who had been sterilized.
These widely-reported studies rekindled earlier fears of a possible prostate-cancer risk and no doubt convinced some men to avoid the operation or to have it reversed if they had already gone through with it.

I’m fine with rubbers but after a few drinks the loss of sensitivity has me raw dawgiing and I’m too old to start over.

It’s not bad at all.

Get two bags of frozen English peas, and don’t forget to negotiate a reward for getting it.

You’re welcome.

Wasn’t bad at all. Was at a dinner party soon after the 3p surgery. Cost for the consult and the actual procedure: two specialist office co-pays -so total maybe $60.
