one of my people was in Houston last week and ended up on the Grand Parkway, she is trying to pay her toll and is getting nothing but a bureaucratic do loop...

Her car is registered in Mississippi

The OT can work miracles and she certainly needs one...

Tell her not to pay. She tried. If they really want the money they'll send her a bill. I don't think they'll try too hard for an out of state plate.

It's a $10 fine. My brother gets them all the time....continually.

Just have her call the Toll Road Authority. Will take 5 secs.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure EZ-Tag just sends a bill to the address under the car registration. If they don't, I wouldn't worry about it. Hell, I zoomed through all of the Chicago tolls on the way to Green Bay and I haven't given even a thought about paying them

I've lived here 3 years and have accidentally gotten on a tollway twice. Never got anything in the mail. They are supposed to trace the address back to your plate and send you a bill. At least that's the way it worked in Austin. I'd say just forget about it unless you get something in the mail.

You have to get like 3 violations before they collect. So if she only went through one toll booth, don't even worry. I asled them why I didnt get a bill after the first, and thats what they tild me. If she went through more, she'll get a letter to pay.

I went through 3 or so and got a fine of like 40 bucks, but I have a tag. I Had forgotten to change my license plate number on the website and it missed my tag or something, so it automatically fined me. Was easy to pay if I wanted to, but I fought it and got it taken off due to having an account.

What part of the Grand Parkway?

Check txtag.org or fbctra.com

Grand Parkway is owned 50/50 between the 2 entities, depends where she was. North side should be TXtag and southside should be fbctra. Normally the toll violation of $5 doesn't happen until the statement is release, may still have time to type in the license plate # and pay only the toll.

It will take awhile but she will get a bill. It won't be much.

Which agency is she talking to? There are like 3 agencies that do toll roads in the houston area.
