Right. The county is objectively turning blue. Stating that fact has upset some people here.

Run better candidates and not Trumptards?

Yeah ok, let me do that. Let me go and run some “better candidates” bc somehow only “better candidates” applies to republican candidates. Democrat leadership nationwide is failing spectacularly yet you filthy disgusting fricking democrats will lockstep vote for a goddamn corpse.

But any Republican that loses must be a “Trumptard” bad candidate.

Also, if it is so awful here, just leave.

I’d rather stay and maintain the high standard of living this conservative place offers. Can you tell your beloved blue leaders to do the unthinkable and not turn this place into the shithole that blue leadership turns every other place into?

I’d argue Houston is anything BUT a dump

It is a world class city but just not for me

It feels like living in a Target

If that makes sense

It’s definitely not. The nonstop apartment construction, the increase in rental homes, including even some Section 8 in nice neighborhoods, the blue wave of the last couple elections…the area is still great and I love it here, but these are the warning signs and anyone with eyes can see the direction it’s heading. It’s the same lifecycle experienced by many suburbs nationwide, nothing really unique but it is disappointing that the cycle never stops.

Indian people typically vote liberal. Trump was trying with his Modi rally, but they are used to socialism.

Question for the thread. What’s the next neighborhood to be gentrified in Houston? Seems like even in the bad areas people are already pricing lots at like 100k.

Serious - as in there are investors buying into that area in hopes for gentrification in the next several years.

IMO none of the metro areas in Texas are REAL Texas.

Real Texas is: West Texas, East Texas and The Panhandle. The rest is either mini California, Cookie cutter culturelessville, North Mexico or South Oklahoma.

For example leaving Houston North on 45, you don’t actually get out of Houston and into actual Texas until you hit Huntsville.
