Usually the drivers ahead of me aren't prepared for the light to turn green, aren't paying attention to the light, are too far behind the car in front of them or just slowly coast through the light and I'm left waiting for another traffic light cycle.

Half of them never took Driver's Ed, A Driver's Test or have ever driven a car.

The sooner drivers get to the red light (in all same-direction lanes, usually) and trip the traffic sensor, the sooner the light turns green again.
Similarly, Houston drivers and other big city drivers tend to honk when the light turns green if the driver in front doesn't mash on the gas at the exact millisecond the light turns green.
Both are symptoms of big, congested city driving where it takes 1.5 hours to go 20 miles in normal conditions.

If you're not practicing your reaction time like you're on a drag strip you'll get the horn.
Not from me, i'm rarely in that big of a rush. But there are few things more annoying than someone trying to finish a TikTok video while the lights green.

Just stay out of my way, Scooter.

All drivers.
Why do you all suck? Be better.

Why do you make left turns from the far right lane?
Anytime I'm in Houston, it's vehicles with Texas plates swinging across multiple lanes of traffic, without using a turn signal, to exit. Every. Single. Time

At least drivers in Houston know what the pedal on the right is for.
I would be happy if knew what the left lane was for.

Specific to Houston, its because they dropped their joint and their foot pressed on the gas accidentally as they bent over to pick it up.

Drive at least 10 under the posted speed, or 20 above it.
Cannot comprehend the proper speed to merge onto an interstate and always tap the brakes before merging
There's more...

Neither of you are “about to” do anything at the intersections in this city traffic. Let’s be honest.
Happens on Westheimer all the time

If people could just stop using their phones while driving and pay attention to when lights turn green, etc., I would put up with almost anything else.

Something I’ve noticed many times in Houston traffic… drivers that signal left for a right turn. More often than not, it’ll be an older full size truck with a trailer full of lawn equipment.

The worst traffic I've ever experienced that happens daily without question it'll be there is western edge of I-610 by the Galleria. Doesn't matter if it's Christmas, it'll be dead stop. Haven't experienced any other part of any city that is as bas as it. I've never driven it and not had to come to a complete stop at some point. I work in the energy infra district which is right there at 610 and San Felipe/Post Oak.

It rains on the interstate and every one of them move to the left lane and turn on their flashers.
To be fair…the lane marks are not visible when wet. I’ve never seen anything like it and I’ve lived all over the country.
The driving with hazards on is infuriating.

why do drivers taking a left at a light feel like they get to cross 3 lanes or more instead of staying on their first assigned lane after they turn? Those turning right after stop should be able to possess the first lane and merge along side them. Those turning left would go to the 6th lane if there was that many. At what point would people finally understand they don't own all the lanes just because they have a left turn arrow?

Why can’t yall invade Austin or Dallas every weekend?

What really annoys me is when I’m in the left lane and approaching a light with other cars ahead already stopped and someone in the right lane who is well behind me speeds up to change lanes right in front of me to stop at the light when they could have easily just gotten behind me as there are no other cars behind me.
But no. The a-hole has to speed up just to get ahead of 1 car rather than do the decent thing.
