A person now has to go into debt to purchase a house. Families cant get a block structure to live in.
Doesnt get a roof over your head anymore. 2 bed 1 bath shotgun house is 150 plus

This has been a common practice for a long long time. Who has the cash to pay off a house?

Why do I have to purchase a mortgage just to live in a house. Why cant I just save and buy?

Dumbest post of the year! Look up definition of a mortgage dummy

You can but frankly with interest rates as low as they are paying cash for a house would be foolish. You should be able to earn more than 4% on your money annualized over 30 years by investing.

I know what a mortgage is dummy but it sucks to have to get one. I just want to buy things out right.

So pay $1500/month in rent so you can save up $200k to buy a house in 10 years.

You can do that if you want. Nobody’s stopping you.
You must be a registered Democrat.

You can and you are welcome to. There is no law preventing you from using your own cash to buy a house.
My interest rate is 3% right now though, so it would not be that wise to just buy it outright.
