This one had expensive stuff too, in fact she sent her son back in the house to get one of the more cherished family possessions, couldn't let the fire claim the family X-Box

yes, if you are insured well and play the game right, you can come out pretty well financially. however, I know someone who does not have a single picture of their children when small...the things that I value can't be replaced by insurance dollars...
fwiw, those folks now have no place to sleep tonight and no clothes to put on tomorrow morning...

Well they didn't come out ahead, they were paid for what they had. They just chose not to replace some things.

There's a sweet little boy my daughter age that lived there. I'm going to find out if he needs clothes and what not tomorrow. He's the only one that lived there I'm concerned about.
