Feel free to call around and get quotes instead of getting the OT to do the work for you.

Seriously, for the entire event $350 seems like a fair price

Ones I know charge for the event, not by the hour.
True. I’m friends with a few myself. Average is about $100/hr but it depends on the event as in if they have to have two set ups etc etc.

Seriously, why do people ask this stuff on the OT when they know half of the answers are going to be smart assed ones and the other half will be what people paid years ago or what they heard their friend's, brother's, cousin paid.
Just call some DJ's and ask them to send you a quote.

Because on something like this it goes to reason that at least some people have hired one recently and knowing what someone paid vs what you get quoted let’s you know if you are getting fricked or not. Plus the smart arse answers make it more than worthwhile. Especially the “extra CD’s in BRPD evidence” comment. That made my morning.
It isn’t like this is one of those definitive questions “How many ounces in a quart?” questions you see on here sometimes. THOSE are the ones that need to be googled.

I just hired a DJ a couple of weeks ago for 5 hours with a light show and it was $650. All of the ones I contacted we're in the same price range

That's why you get multiple quotes. Also useful in negotiations if you have your mind set up on one particular DJ.

Paris Hilton charges 50,000 an hour but you can probably get Kevin Federline for a lot cheaper.
Either one will probably throw in a BJ on the house.

We pay the DJ that does the kiddie dance for the PTC club $200 for 3 hours.
He has lights, speakers and a video screen.

Toothless is definitely the way to go. Granny gums feel so much better than novice girls teeth

You are going to pay someone to push a button? Just make a mix tape and call it the day!

DJ for my wedding literally charged $350 if I remember right. We had a 4 hour reception, he was awesome, and I've been to a few other weddings he's done. Good times all around.
