They're bitching about the way the Krewe operates in a certain section of town, but ignore the fact that certain people in that section of town throw rocks at the riders if they don't get what they want.

Bruh the NAACP guy in Houma is the biggest tool on the face of this earth. I’m pretty sure he does a radio show and huge racist and starts shite all over the city. No surprise he’s injecting himself in this situation.

Oh the guy would have definitely kidnapped the 5 and 12 year old and brought them both on the float

Never let these parade riders ply your kids with beads & doubloons because we all know what they will do to them when they kidnap them on the float. There are so many hiding spots on those floats.

Similar things happened in New Orleans parades this weekend. Men in colorful costume were giving stuffed animals and candy to young children at the parade. Clearly the WHITE MEN were grooming these children for sex. Next thing you know, they’ll be giving these kids skateboards

Yep, I never rode in houma but as a kid I rode in Chronos in Thibodaux on the jr Duke kids float.

In one part of town our parents had to make us hide on the floor because we were having things thrown back at us. At that time everyone still threw the little small cheap beads, but they weren't satisfied with that and cups. They wanted big beads. I remember my mom being upset trying to tell them we are just kids.

Same thing goes on in certain areas in houma.

There are a few that throw back everywhere along the route but its alot more and worse in the area right before down town.

Walmart has ramen noodles for $1.50 a 12 pack. Just buy a ton of those for the areas where crowd throws back at float.

Crowd should love that noodle soup!

The fact that the Krewe of Hercules cut bait on Monday, tells me there’s more to it
Not really. Considering its apparently against the law for riders to exit the float during the parade, I'd think thats grounds enough to kick someone out of the krewe. Not to mention the negative publicity the guy brought to them.

Rode in Terreanians for several years and always dreaded the stop in front of the old That Stanley....

Some were decent enough but more often than not that was a good time to sit down and have a snack.

The white boys were throwing bottles of douche at black people. While it's clear intelligence in abundance does not exist in Houma, what does is a history of racist, bigotry and cover ups. These white boys purchased dog biscuits and douche. During the parade they threw these items with their intended targets NOT being everyone, but black people. It's disgusting, it's illegal, it's wrong. Everyone who threw should be charged with a hate crime, the rest who knew were aiding. Let's not forget about the krewe member who was going to tamper with a 12 year old.

I'll be honest with you, while I'm sure that any regulation for throws or guidelines for what constitutes a throw for Houma, a dog biscuit nor a bottle of douche can I imagine would in anyway be able to be considered a throw. But who knows it's Houma. Apparently the items were being thrown hard make it bruising, hard hits to heads among other injuries a possibility.

Getting off the float is a Parish Ordinance, city court. Not a state law
