Hotels with free breakfasts

Have you ever stayed at one of these (Home2Suites has a very nice free breakfast), and watched some families come down to eat, act like they haven't eaten in months, and each family member comes back to the table with at least one of everything? (Good Lord that's one long sentence).
Then they end up throwing away over half the shite they fixed, and load their purses & bags with drinks, fruit, & granola bars.

Why not get one of everything and eat what you like the most of a free buffet that is built into the cost of your hotel bill??

I just bring the coffee table tray from my room down, load up four plates as high as I can and head on back up so I don't have to mingle with the riff raff.

It's not really free. It's just marketed that way.
Same thing as bags fly free with Southwest. You're paying for it, but they are smart enough to make it all inclusive and not broken out like the dumbasses at Delta or American do.
