The reality is that these ladies didnt necessarily age poorly so much as how they styled/dressed.

Aunt B doesnt look bad in that pic from 1948, but she's got her hair up like an old bag.

If old people tried harder, did more with their hair, dressed better, they wouldn't look so damn old.

Aunt B had it going on back in her day.

Look at an old high school yearbook. They look like a bunch of 40 year olds.

Kerosene pickles was one of the best episodes. Also the pharmacist in the first two seasons was smokin hot.

That was Elanore Donahue and she played Betty on the old show "Father Knows Best" before joining the "Andy Griffith Show".

The reason she left the show was because she said there was no chemistry between her and Andy to make it believable that there was a romantic connection.

Andy Griffith did have an affair with Aneta Coursant who played Helen Crump, Opie's teacher, on the show.
