Could also be "ugly duck" syndrome.
Wasn't hot until college and then turned in to a swan. This is the perfect combo IMO. Funny, humble, hard working, hot and sexy!

You could get find people with similar physical characteristics from ugly to pretty from fat to thin from short to tall and it would be exceedingly easy to find one that's a jerk or shallow with no sense of humor and another that is the exact opposite.
I'm struggling to come up with a less interesting topic than two different people having two different personalities. The fact that OP and you are amazed by this? Now that's interesting.
