Ah, makes sense, because that is an insane article.

I sat on a panel with several Med Directors night before last, once these pts go into cardiac arrest they can almost never be resuscitated. And once you begin CPR, there’s a drastic increase in lthe likelihood of the spread of droplets. Several major hospitals have implemented DNR protocols on these pts.

Is mouth to mouth resuscitation common in hospitals these days?

No but while doing chest compressions and the process of intubation during a code, there is an increase exposure of the health care workers.

I'm plenty aware. My mom (no pics) was the CEO of a hospital in south LA.

Everybody is kissing HC workers asses but to be honest, I think they’ve acted like a bunch of pussies during this epidemic. After all, this is their damned jobs and they’ve trained their entire careers for this moment. Step up and get shite done.

To qualify myself, I’m a 30 year LEO Officer and I’ve never carried one like this. You do your job with that tools you were given to work with,.

We were all trained to never go into a room with out proper equipment. Don't stand in judgement of our fears now. Do you get sent out frequently without a gun or radio?

What if you’re asked to do twice your job with none of those tools?

Was just about to come here to post this. I watched that briefing yesterday and she was pretty clear on this just being fear mongering.

There is nothing resuscitation is going to do for you if your heart stopped beating because your lungs are broke.

You are dead. That is the cold truth and there’s no point in exposing the healthcare team to make meemaws family feel better.

So when they told you about their DNR a long time ago, what they were 60ish? And just decided that was enough life?
