Hopefully reading through this thread while in quarantine will provide him with a few laughs.

I know what the international date line is and where and given enough time I can work out what day it is/was when they departed.

Heck, I'm just glad they are out. That they are going to a Reserve base makes sense: looking at Google Earth maps, that base has visitor lodging and isn't in really crowded. The yellow brown haze that comes off of LA will never have looked so good.

According to a Monday release, passengers on the plane would be screened for signs of illness before leaving China, after arriving in Alaksa and again when they arrive in Southern California. If any passengers show symptoms of the virus at any of the stages of travel, they will not be allowed to continue on and will undergo treatment at local hospitals.
“We don’t believe anyone is sick,” Hagman said. “We don’t believe anyone has the virus.”
Hagman said the passengers who do arrive in Ontario will not go through the airport, but will instead be quarantined for up to two weeks at a hangar away from other travelers.

Ontario has a dedicated building not connected to the main terminals that is used, rarely, for international flights. Just assuming that’s where they will take them. I can’t think of any hanger on site that would be suitable to house people.
Happy for the Honkus family.

Anyone else notice that Congressman Garret Graves is a big LSU fan? I bet he couldn’t wait to get home after work and catch up on TD and The Adventures of Honkus.

Guess I can understand you here. A bit close to home for me as well. I’m positive everything will be cool.

Around 240 Americans evacuated from Wuhan, China, will be flown to a military base near Riverside County, California, instead of a civilian airport as first planned.

They will be screened there to ensure they are not experiencing coronavirus symptoms.

Flight left about 0.5 hours ago
They are landing in Anchorage in a few minutes for refueling & a health check
They will then go to Cali where they will be quarantined

Or do you mean the reroute?
It was posted earlier, maybe 8ish

That seemed to be the plan last night when I posted an article that said that they MIGHT be landing at Ontario, CA.

But I guess they wanted them a little more contained and isolated (for either ease of quarantine, optics, or local pushback).
