Honeymoon question, 1 night in NYC before Bermuda

I posted this on the travel board as well but I'm looking for feedback, I understand that one may get whacked:
Here's the situation:
In August I'm getting married to my beautiful bride. We are flying into NYC with a hotel overlooking central park the day after the wedding (arr. around noon) we have a car service scheduled to pick us up from the airport and bring us to the airport the next day.
We're limited on options of what we can do in NYC based on the timeline, the best suggestion I've considered is to hire a driver be contracted for 9 hours to take us around, see the sights we can, or drop us off and pick us up if we want to walk around anywhere, like in Times Square. I want to plan something cool for my future wife, she loves Broadway but we can't make the showtimes we looked into.
Any advice or should I go with what I know?
Eta: I've talked to the concierge as well, they said based on all factors that a good route
Eta 2: We get in just before noon, we fly out at 8 AM. The two plays we talked about seeing, the great Gatsby (my choice and hers) and Wicked (hers) stay at 3 and 2, respectively. We are concerned that driving into the city, checking in, getting ready and trying to make those showtimes would take a lot of rushing and consume the whole part of the trip. Fwiw we didn't choose NYC, that was the layover schedule to Bermuda, I'm just trying to make the best out of it!

I appreciate the question, but out of respect for her and her family I respectfully decline. I thank you for the interest though!

Did you think you'd get more helpful answers here than the Travel Board?

There is a place in south street seaport where you can buy show tickets for cheaper in the day of. There’s another kiosk in Times Square but it’s super long line. Seaport took us 15 minutes to get cheap tickets to American Idiot. (Green Day Broadway show)

I knew what I was in for lol, but beyond the bitterness and sarcasm I do think there are people in this board with credible, valuable thoughts when someone in the TD family reaches out, I'm okay with being wrong lol.

Either the Yankees or Mets should be in town. What better way to spend a day than expensive beer and listening to Bronx cheers, eh?
Sorry you can't show her how proud you were to marry such a beautiful bride that you enthusiastically shared her photographic likeness with your buddies in the O-T. Or maybe you don't have any. Want to buy some? Make you a sweet deal on her nudes.

Depends on what yalls interests are but I’d go
grab a slice from John’s of Bleeker St (NOT Bleeker St Pizza)
Go drink at a lower Manhattan rooftop or pier side bar.
There’s some night time river tours up the Hudson. It’s a great view of the city
Museums if you have time
Museum of Modern Art
Dinosaurs at the Museum of Natural History

Just stay in the hotel and break in the marriage. Bring some beans and a jar tho.
Everytime you have sex that week, put a bean in the jar. Everytime, after that take a bean out of the jar when you have sex. Guarantee they’ll be beans left in the jar on the one year anniversary.
Also, since most here are from Louisiana…InB4 “go find a cool bar”.
