You can’t just go on the news and say “screw the homeless, we need to rid of them to help these homeowners”.
Why not? They are a blight on society, often have zero desire to help themselves out of being homeless, and are drug addicts.

You could say a lot worse than that about most suburban neighborhoods.
My wife and 10 year old granddaughter shop at the Harvest grocery store that shares the parking lot adjoining where the shooting took place. Unacceptable!

Councilwoman Laurie Adams needs to be held more accountable. Her response was they would send in people to help the homeless vagrants know about resources to help them. No mention of helping the homeowners get rid of them.
I heard this as the most sanitized way of saying that they are getting removed

Yeah there are resources but you can’t shoot up fentanyl or drink a half gallon of taaka at a shelter.

No, but you can talk about city ordinances they are breaking by camping on private property without the owner’s consent. You can talk about why you cannot allow tent cities due to health and safety issues.
It’s private property. A civilian can’t kick anyone off of private property. The owner had to be contacted and they had to request the sheriff remove them. And further, the council is the legislative branch of the government. They make the ordinances. The executive branch (and in turn, the police) are responsible for enforcing them. Learn what a council person does before spouting off like an idiot.

10 year old grand daughter. Was multitasking and made a mistake. It wasn't that complicated to figure out though.

I said it was private property in my post. For the reasoning that the councilwoman can easily help the homeowner find out who owns the property and imagine if a councilwoman calls the owner and tells the owner of the problem. That may get some traction, huh?
And since the council is the legislative branch, she can find out if there’s any ordinances that don’t allow the camping and she can ask the police to enforce the ordinances.
As my post said, “she can talk about” ordinances and safety issues and get the ball rolling. I never said she can go remove them.

So what do you think happened? Because you just described exactly what happened today.

Huh? Wtf are you talking about? She said in the link she would send homeless resources to the camp to make sure they know about resources available. She didn’t say anything else per the link we are discussing.

Resources like a one way bus ticket some where else.

As has been mentioned, she can’t come out and say police are rolling in to the remove the trash. She’s a politician. The owner of the property was tracked down with the help of the HOA, they authorized the removal of the trespassers, and steps are being taken to remove them. Part of that process if to try to get them help. Most don’t want it.

But a council person is there to help citizens access local govt. services and get the right people in government notified of a citizen’s problems.
I think that’s exactly what Adams did.

local news are dumb AF if they don't read the OT daily, in its entirety, and source topics from here.

Sure you can. You leave premises, shoot up, drink, come back for food and shelter.
