Nope. Overwhelmingly its addicts living closer to facilities and supplies.
The severely mentally ill are a fraction of the homeless. Its mostly drugs.

Take one of the abandoned strip malls and make it a giant homeless center... Or you can put thousands of she sheds in parking lot as well.

Imagine a bum. Imagine he/she as poor and/or on drugs. Now debate each of your points in your head.

They'll fill it up and overflow quickly.
The more services you provide, the more homeless show up. Drugs and housing prices are a rough combo, and these people will take the drugs over housing every day.
Provide housing, you'll have more show up.

Most homeless who are on the streets are there because of behavioral issues that prevent them from living with others or around others.
The solution is tough love. Let If people die, it just has to occur. Bu subsidizing poverty we increase poverty

A LOT of them don’t want help. They want to live in tents and do drugs.
This is 100% spot on. And the left will never agree. You can’t help who doesn’t want help. Wben we closed our mental facilities decades ago thats when it exploded.
Show me one city who has solved the problem after decades and billions of dollars have been thrown at it. Every city has tons of places to help them. Churches have as well.
But they’d rather stand on corners asking for money. I never ever give anything to the panhamdlers but people do which is why they keep coming back. If people stopped giving money directly (which is used for drugs/booze) they would go to those places who can help.
There will never be an answer to fix this because some choose this way of life. The best thing I can think of is cities building a fenced in area on an big plot of land and let them all live there and have at it. But no one would want to be neighbors. Any solution os met with resistance from some group as well.

Homelessness is a problem because democrats are enabling it by coddling them and giving them government handouts.

What's your point? I didn't say specifically addicts. There are many people just camping out and begging for money. Stopping traffic and being generally annoying.
There are absolutely services available for these people to have shelter.

Yep, those on the street could have a place to stay, at least temporarily but most places don't allow drug use or drinking, which is why they choose to stay on the street.
Most homelessness is a choice.

Dumbass.
Its the drugs. Its where all available $$$$ goes.
Economics always deals in tradeoffs. This person has made their choice.

That’s what the University of Washington did to LSU fans for the 2009 game in Seattle. Karma is a bitch.

Again. Aren’t you an alcoholic?
I’m not judging you. We all have our journeys. But maybe tone the hypocrisy down a bit.

I don’t think can simply arrest/incarcerate our way out of the problem. We certainly need more quantity and quality of mental illness substance abuse facilities.
