one time i was with my kid and a homeless man approached us for money. I told him I didnt have any cash and the dude said yeah right. I began to walk away and my 5yr old son said "why dont you just go get a job? That's how my dad gets money". Homeless dude didnt say shite.

Tell him to give you a $1.65 worth of a blow job and you'll see what you can't come up with.

I don't know if it will be a sad day or an awesome one when the panhandlers all have Ipads and the Square app.

I've been wondering about this lately. I get hit up 3-4 times per week and even if I wanted to give them money (I don't), there's a good chance that I don't have any cash anyway.

My go to line with beggars is, "Sorry, I just carry plastic. No cash"

They have to recognize that if they want something different, they'll have to do something different.

Of course it never fails that I see people stop and subsidize sidewalk begging by feeding the problem with handouts. I often feel bad when it appears there are people with less income than I do that are seemingly more generous. But then I say frick it, that's exactly why they have less to distribute to more productive sources.

Had a homeless girl on the subway in New York say she would accept gift cards. I looked at her and just thought, wouldn't you accept anything given to you.

I'm guessing LA is as bad as people say on here, I have never been that close to a homeless person to have that type of conversation.
